Besana's internal Food Laboratory specialises in analysis and research on agro-industrial foodstuff. The laboratory is specialised in chemical, physical, microbiological and sensorial controls on nuts, dried fruit and seeds.
Besana's laboratory is accredited by ACCREDIA, under nr. 0262. A list of accredited tests is available on the ACCREDIA website.
The Besana lab also collaborates with the International Nut and Dried Fruit Council Foundation (INC), the Institute of Sciences of Food Production (ISPA-CNR, Italy), TUBITAK (Turkey), DG SANCO (European Commission), European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), National Dried Fruit Trade Association (UK) and DFA of California, for joint research activities. Thousands of tests are performed every year.
